Second Phase

What you see now has been created by local volunteers, schools and community groups.
• The organic garden plots that border the central path are managed by local schools and other groups.
• The mosaic wall designed and partly created by pupils at Sir Alexander Fleming school.
• Contained by the wall is the raised Sensory Bed. Designed to be accessible to people with sensory disabilities.
• Opposite is a French style ‘potager’. A mixture of flowers, herbs and vegetables.
• To the left of the potager is a nursery area comprising graft material taken from Attingham Estate’s Orchard.
• Nestling against the far churchyard wall, note the soft fruit beds.
• See whether you can spot all the native shrubs in the hedge at the top right hand corner.
• Coming back towards the entrance and on the far left, is the local Uniform Groups garden plots.
• To the right of our newly refurbished Victorian railings and entrance gates, you will see our three wooden composting bins.
• Next is a storage hut that has an interpretive map painted on the wall, locating all the 60 fruit trees planted in 2005.
• Next to the storage hut is our composting toilet which will provide compost from your solids (all donations welcome).
• Passing the toilet, starting on the near left , a pond and bog area will be created plus a wild life strip running parallel to the path.
• Opposite the wild life area is a willow dome created by Green Gym and our volunteers.

• Finally to encourage casual users to the site, we will build a brick BBQ . To be be in place by the summer of ‘09
